Fifield's Wharf

Fifield's wharf has been a fixture on the south side of Burnt Cove in Stonington for over 85 years. First started by Tilden Fifield in 1940, it's now in its 4th generation of family ownership. Many generations of summer residents have had a connection to our wharf and we're excited when those folks return every year. Summer people have  always known the lobster buying process but it wasn't always clear to new visitors to the island or people just coming for a day trip. It can take a couple trips to really see how things work. With that in mind, we created the lobstrcrate in 2026.

We wanted to make it easy for new cook-at-home lobster buyers to get the freshest product. Our online shop aims to streamline the wharf sales process by creating easy lobster and crab options, easy payments, and easy dock side pickup. Away from the island, people are more accustomed to ordering online and we want to embrace that change. Now you don't have to hope that someone is around, track down someone to get the lobsters, and track down someone to pay. 

We can take orders for same-day pickup before noon or schedule up to 7 days ahead for afternoon pickup.
